Field / Research Areas: Chemistry, Organic, Inorganic and Bioorganic Chemistry, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Nanomaterial & their characterization by biological studies, Metal catalysis, Neurobiology and Cancer Biology, Bioinformatics, Structural Biology, Infectious Diseases & Immunology, Plant Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Genetics, Cell Biology or any branch of Life Sciences..

Qualification required: NET-JRF (CSIR/UGC) examination qualified applicants or DBT/DST-INSPIRE/ICMR-JRF Fellows with independent fellowship with M.Sc degree in Chemistry / Biology. Students in their final year of M.Sc can also apply, provided they fulfill additional qualifications.

Age Limit: 28 Years

How to Apply:

The engagement is only temporary and, thus, doesn’t confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for regularization or absorption against any IICB / CSIR post. The qualifications and age will be reckoned according to the date of interview. The upper age limit is relaxable for SC / ST / OBC / PH and women candidates as per rules. The actual number of vacancies might change at the time of selection. The interview might be carried on to the next day (i.e. 04.06.2019) if there are more candidates (No requests for an early interview is going to be entertained). So candidates are asked to plan their program accordingly. Interested candidates fulfilling all of the above conditions may appear for the walk-in-interview to be held on 03.06.2019 from 9.30 AM and report at the J.C. Ray Auditorium, Jadavpur Campus together with these documents (original in addition to self attested copies) – (1) Matriculation Certificate in support of your date of birth, (2) Degree/Diploma Certificate, (3) Original reprints of all testimonials regarding educational qualifications, (4) Applicants claiming reservation benefits are asked to submit a certificate issued by the appropriate authority according to GOI guidelines at the time of interview. (5) No objection certificate from the employer if employed, (6) Final Marksheet of M.Sc. Examination, (7) Documentary evidence of qualifying NET examination, (8)One current passport size photograph. (Candidates chosen by means of this interview would be encouraged to register for PhD at AcSIR).
