Name of the Post: Project Assistant –I

Positions: 1 No

Qualification: B.Sc. In Biological Sciences with 55 percent;

Fellowship for: PA-I / PA-II is Rs 15000/Rs 25000 (a month) according to CSIR-CSMCRI guidelines.

Age Limit: Age limitation for Project Assistant at par I/II is going to be as 28/30 years respectively that will be relaxable up to 5 years for statutory groups & Women.

Job Requirements: Selected candidate will have to work in the area of downstream processing of seaweeds/ development of new process technologies/refining/improvement of process technologies for seaweed products like agar, agarose, carrageenan, biostimulant, etc.. This project also involved physicochemical analysis of seaweed samples obtained from Custom Department.

CSMCRI is a nationwide research lab under CSIR, which will be well equipped with research facilities of international standards (site: www.csmcri.res.in). Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals for the aforementioned positions of PA-I and PA-II, to work beneath an In-house (MLP0027) project in the region of value addition of Indian seaweed biomass through developing simple and green/eco-friendly processes for the production of commercially significant seaweed products. This project also involved physicochemical analysis of seaweed samples obtained from Custom Department.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates meeting the above requirements can attend the written exam followed by walk-in-interview with a copy of detailed biodata, original certificates along with with their attested photocopies along with a passport size photograph on 5th June’ 2019 (Wednesday) at 9.30 A.M. at Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, G B Marg, Bhavnagar-364002. The choice of applicants will be carried out by conducting a screening test followed by personal interview of those shortlisted candidates on exactly the same day. No TA/DA is going to be compensated for attending the interview. In the event you’re employed in a Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Organization, you need to bring with you a No Objection Certificate from your current employer otherwise you won’t be permitted to appear for the interview.
