Post I

Name of the Post: Quality Control Manager-Chemistry

No. of Posts: Four (04)

Salary: 65,000/-

Age Limit: Not exceeding 45 years.

Location: One (01) each at Faridabad, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai

Essential Qualifications:

(i) M.Sc. In Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Food Technology/ Food Science/ Food Science and Technology from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable Qualifications:

a. PhD in any of the above mentioned related fields.
b. Internal auditor course according to ISO/IEC 17025

Experience:

i. 5 to 7 years’ experience in the role of quality assurance/quality control executive in NABL quality control lab; should have an adequate understanding of:

  • Relevant national and global food standards.
  • Requirements and requirements for accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Conducting quality audits

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for maintaining quality system and managing of quality tools, calibration and validation of equipment; competence testing and quality control check and conduct audits in the lab. He/She will even attend to any additional work which might be delegated by the senior officers.

Hiring Process: Interview

Duration and type of Contract: The position of Quality Control Manager – Chemistry is going to be filled up only on a contract basis for an initial period of one year with the first six months as a probation period. A performance appraisal at the end of six months will determine the extension of this contract.

Reporting arrangement: The incumbent will report to the concerned Deputy Technical Advisor (DTA) and higher authorities.

Remuneration and payment terms: The consolidated remuneration will be Rs.65,000/- a month. Travelling expenditure, per diem and another cost incidental to the travel undertaken by the incumbent in connection with the performance of duty will be reimbursed according to the standards and TDS will be deducted according to the Income Tax legislation. No additional allowance could be reimbursed. The incumbent is qualified for a 12 paid leave in a calendar year, excluding National Holidays and Gazetted Holidays observed by Central Government Offices at respective locations.


Post II (a)

Name of the Post: Analyst

No. of Posts: Five (05)

Salary: 40,000/-

Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years.

Location: Two (02) at Faridabad and one (01) each at Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai.

Essential Qualifications:

(i) M.Sc. In Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Food Technology/ Food Science/ Food Science and Technology from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable Qualifications:

a. PhD in any of the above mentioned related fields.
b. Internal auditor course according to ISO/IEC 17025

Experience:

At least two years of experience working in a NABL accredited food testing lab with areas of expertise in:

i. Proximate analysis of food products according to NABL accreditation, preparation of the standard solution and its standardization, sample processing and safe storage of samples under custody, record maintenance.

ii. Operation of sophisticated analytical instruments; GC, HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, ICPMS, AAS etc. because of their application for characterization of food components and safety and quality evaluation of food products, undertaking studies for shelf life and packaging studies.

iii. Calibration, intermediate checking, method validation, quality assurance and analysis of pesticide residues, PAH, PCBs, mycotoxin, antibiotic residue in various food items and water according to NABL accreditation.

iv. Chemical analysis of food products.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Analyst will undertake a regular analysis of food products using chemical and instrumental methods, preparation of SOPs and other high-quality documents for NABL Accreditations, Equipment calibration and maintenance, development and validation of methods. He/She will even attend to any additional work which might be assigned by the senior officers.

b. Internal auditor course according to ISO/IEC 17025

Experience:

At least two years of experience working in a NABL accredited food testing lab with areas of expertise in:

i. Operation of sophisticated analytical instruments; GC, HPLC, AAS, UV-VIS, FT-IR for their application for characterization of food components along with safety and quality evaluation of food products.

ii. Microbiological analysis of various food products.

iii. Preparation of SOPs and other high-quality documents for NABL accreditation.

iv. New analytical method development and validation.

v. Sample prep, media preparation, sterilization, culturing of reference material, sample inoculation and day daily microbiological analysis.

vi. Disposal of culture & media, recording of all events in microbiology.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Analyst will undertake a routine microbiological analysis of food products using chemical and instrumental methods, preparation of SOPs and other high-quality documents for NABL Accreditations, Equipment calibration and maintenance, development and validation of methods. He/She will even attend to any additional work which might be assigned by the senior officers.

Duly filled up application form together with applicable documents should reach the addressee by 5.00 PM on 29th March 2019.

Applications should be neatly typed according to the Proforma (Annexure-II) and applications with no deviation from the prescribed proforma will be summarily rejected.

Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date won’t be considered. Only shortlisted candidates will be intimated and called for an interview. Interviews of the shortlisted candidates might be held at Delhi or at the respective Regional Centres. To be decided by the Ministry. The Ministry will not pay/reimburse any expenditure incurred by the candidates for attending the interview. The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
