Area I: Biodiversity & Bioprospection

Post I

Position: PA Level II

Consolidated Stipend per month: Rs. 25,000 per month

Essential Qualification: M.Sc.(55%) in Botany/Plant Science/Biotechnology/Environmental Science

Desirable Qualification: Working experience on systematic, reproductive biology, developmental biology, mass multiplication, conservation and restoration of Pteridophytes.


Post II

Position: PA Level II

Consolidated Stipend per month: Rs. 25,000 per month

Essential Qualification: M.Sc.(55%) in Chemistry/Biochemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Desirable Qualification: Experience in techniques related to extraction of natural food colours. Knowledge of running of equipments like HPLC and GCMS.


Area II: Microbiology

Post I

Position: PA Level II

Consolidated Stipend per month: Rs. 25,000 per month

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (55%) in Life Science/Botany/ Biochemistry Biotechnology/ Microbiology

Desirable Qualification: Working experience in area of Microbiology.


Area III: Molecular Biology & Biotechnology

Post I

Position: Research Associate

Consolidated Stipend per month: Rs. 36,000 plus HRA per month

Position: JRF(Project)/Project Assistant Level II

Consolidated Stipend per month: Rs. 25,000 plus HRA per month

Essential Qualification: For JRF: M.Sc. in Biological Sciences/ Molecular Biology/ Life Science/ Botany/Agri-Biotechnology/ Plant Science /Bioinformatics/Biochemistry/ Botany/Plant Biotechnology

Desirable Qualification: Working experience in molecular Biology, NGS data analysis. or Experience in molecular biology / biochemistry / bioinformatics techniques.


Post III

Position: Project Assistant Level III

Consolidated Stipend per month: Rs. 28,000 plus HRA per month

Essential Qualification: M.Sc. (55%) in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Botany/ Biochemistry/Life Science/Biological Science/Bioinformatics/Plant Science with two years post M.Sc. research experience or M.Tech in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology

Desirable Qualification: Experience in molecular biology/biochemistry techniques. or Experience of working with techniquest related to bioinformatics

How to Apply:

A. The Application form will be given at the place on this date.  However, candidates can download the application form ahead of time from the web site www.nbri.res.in. In the time of interview candidates should bring one newest picture, original documents together with self attested copy of certifications of examinations passed (beginning from matriculation), certification indicating date of birth, caste certificate (if SC/ST /OBC) and expertise certification, etc.. Tentative indicate sheets/certificates and’result awaited’ won’t be considered.  All qualified candidates are asked to be present in the place on the stated date one hour prior to the scheduled time for required files confirmation etc..

B. Mode of Choice: During Interview. But if large number of applicants turn up, a Screening test comprising of multiple choice objective questions might be kept for short list the candidates for the interview. The short listed candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee and, dependent on the performance from the interview; a board of recommended candidates will be formed. The panel will likely be used and when the demand arises in the endeavors from the appropriate field/area. Candidates have the choice to interact in Hindi/English before the committee. In the event of turning up of big no. Of candidates, interview may persist for following day.
