Name of Job: Junior Research Fellow
Project Title: ‘Delineation and characterization of defense signalling pathways and genetic regulation of induced systemic resistance in Zingiber-Pythium pathosystems’
- Master’s Degree in Botany/ Plant Science/ Agricultural Sciences/ Biotechnology with 55% marks.
- Valid JRF/ Score in nationwide level exam for admission to PhD program conducted by the Central Government Departments/ Agencies for example CSIR-UGC- National Eligibility Test (NET)/ MHRD – Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/DBT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test/ IACR- All India Competitive Examination (AICE)/ Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology & Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JBEEBILS)/ ICMR – JRF Entrance Examination/ Lectureship at CSIR-UGC- National Eligibility Test (NET).
Age: Below 28 years according to 17th October 2018. Age relaxation will be awarded according to Govt. of India norms.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 25,000 + 20 percent HRA a month.
Three years or until the conclusion of this project whichever is sooner. On the other hand, the chosen candidates will be evaluated yearly by a review committee and bad performance may result in discontinuation of this appointment.

Envelopes must be superscripted with abbreviated title of this project, advertisement number and job title. Selection to the position won’t entitle the candidate to some future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus with the end of this project.
