Position Name: Junior Research Fellow (Project) (One position only)

Project Name: “Genotype-phenotype relationship in rare genetic, disorders:
Physicochemical analysis of mutations in GNE myopathy and phenotypic modulation by small molecule effectors” funded by DBT

PI: Dr Debasisa Mohanty Staff Scientist-VII ( [email protected] )

Educational Qualifications: Junior Research Fellow: M.Sc in (Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Biotechnology or Another stream of Biological/Physical Sciences/IT) or B.Tech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/IT) or M.Tech (Bioinformatics/Biophysics/Computational Sciences or M. Pharm. The candidates must have qualified any ‘National Level Examination’ according to DST OM dated 21.10.2014.

Desirable Qualifications: Strong computer programming abilities (in PERL/CGI/PHP or C++ or object-oriented database management systems such as MySQL etc or scripting languages under LINUX/UNIX environment) and adequate experience in technical evaluation of biological/biochemical data. The candidates must emphasize their expertise in programming/database development or biomolecular simulations within their CV.

Emoluments: The chosen candidates will draw consolidated emoluments according to Institute Rules, based upon qualifications & experience

Terms & Conditions:

  1. The candidates chosen for the above posts will be on contract for six months or length of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
  2. No hostel/ home facility will be provided.
  3. Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary evidence of exactly the same.
  4. No TA/DA is going to be compensated for attending the interview, if called for.
  5. Apart from sending application in the prescribed format provided below, applicants must send complete Curriculum Vitae together with the names of 3 referees. Curriculum Vitae should include particulars of this experimental experience and record of publications.
