Job Name: Junior Research Fellow, Research Associate and One Technical Assistant (One each)
(i) One Junior Research Fellow in the SERB-ECRA project entitled “Identification of effector proteins from generalist herbivore spodoptera littura and its targets in Arabidopsis”, and
(ii) One Research Associate and One Technical Assistant in the DBT project entitled “Plant Analytical Platform for Phytohormones and Low Abundant Molecules”, (PAPM)
Principal Investigator: Dr Jyothilakshmi Vadassery
Junior Research Fellow (one post): Emoluments According to DST/DBT Standards & as sanctioned in the project.
Qualifications: Candidates having M.Sc. /M. Tech degree (with minimal 70% marks) at Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Bioinformatics or a related discipline duly supported with research work are eligible to apply. The candidate with previous work experience in assessing bioinformatic data will be favoured.
Research Associate (RA-III) (one post): Emoluments according to DST/DBT standards & as sanctioned in the project.
Qualifications: Candidates with doctorate (PhD) degree in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Chemistry or equal with strong publication record are eligible to apply. The candidate should possess outstanding knowledge in metabolomics with publications to encourage the same. An experience of working in plant metabolomics is desired with the ability to manage GC-MS, LC-MS along with other high-end equipment.
Technical Assistant (one post): Emoluments According to DST/DBT norms & as sanctioned in the project.
Qualifications: Candidates with M.Sc. /M. Tech degree (with minimal 70% marks) in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Chemistry or a related discipline duly supported with study work are entitled to apply. The candidate with previous work experience in metabolomics will be favoured. The candidate will participate in the daily running of the metabolome facility.
How to Apply:
The above positions are entirely on a temporary basis and co-terminus together with the project/scheme. The initial appointment is for a year or until the tenability of this project/scheme whichever is sooner, which is curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of this candidate’s discretion and performance of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to choose the candidate contrary to the above posts determined by the credentials and expertise of the candidates. Reservation of posts shall be according to Govt. of India norms.
