  • The 2019 Imperial College Research Fellowship (ICRF) application form can be found from the documents section of the advertising.
  • Applicants should complete Sections 1-2, and 5-6 of this ICRF application form.
  • The consented Imperial sponsor(s) must complete Section 3 of this ICRF application form.
  • Any sponsor from the Francis Crick Institute is needed to complete Section 4 of this ICRF application form.
  • Any sponsor from AstraZeneca is needed to complete a sponsor form — see the attached instructions for Additional information.

Please be aware that when you’ve submitted your application, you can’t upload any additional documents.

Responsibilities and Obligations;

Imperial College Research Fellowship Scheme gives excellent early-career researchers a chance to develop independent study programs. We’ll be awarding up to 20 fellowships, to start between August and December 2019.  Each one offers four years’ financing (stipend in the assortment of #36,800 to #41,940 per annum (2017/18 figures), and a generous donation to research expenditures ). Fellowships are intended to give freedom to concentrate on the study: there are no mandatory teaching or administrative responsibilities. Applicants will be invited to apply for additional sources of financing allowing them to reinforce their research programme.

Proposals will be considered in most research areas active at Imperial College London. Multidisciplinary projects are welcomed, as are collaborations with The Francis Crick Institute http://www.crick.ac.uk/ Additionally, AstraZeneca and Imperial will be devoting up to two fellowships, each having a minimum of 1 year in a house at one of the AstraZeneca research centres. Essential Requirements:

Applicants will have to recognize an Imperial academic team member to serve as their host who provides lab space, facilities and mentorship for the tenure of their fellowship. Candidates may be in the united kingdom or overseas and will be generally expected to possess no more than 4 years post-doctoral research expertise in an academic environment in the time of application. It’s expected that candidates are in the first stages of their research profession and be in a position to demonstrate their upcoming capability to set up research independence. Proposals will be judged primarily on the basis of scientific merit, track listing of the applicant and potential for growth of an independent study programme.
