The Coconut Research Station at Kasaragod in Kerala was initially established in 1916 by the then Government of Madras and subsequently it was taken over by the Indian Central Coconut Committee in 1948. Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI) was established in 1970 as one of the agricultural research institutes in the National Agricultural Research System (NARS) under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Project Title: Seed Production in Agriculture and Fisheries

Funding Agency/Scheme: Revolving Fund research scheme

Duration: Period upto 31.03.2017 or till the closure of the scheme, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility: M.Sc. in Horticulture/Agriculture/ Botany/Applied Botany/ Biosciences/Plantation Development /allied Biological Science subjects.

Desirable: Research experience in Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Agronomy or Seed Production in Plantation Crops

Age Limit: 21-45 years as on the date of interview. (Upper age limit relaxable to SC/ST/OBC candidates) as per rules.

Emolument:  Rs.25000 per month (Consolidated)

How to Apply: The candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria shall attend the Walk-in-interview at ICAR-CPCRI Research Centre, Kidu on the date and time indicated above. They shall bring with them, a set of bio – data and original certificates in proof of age, educational qualifications, experience etc. Those who do not furnish the Original OR Provisional of the PG Degree Certificate will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
