M. Sc. COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY
(Studentship : Rs.5,000/- per month)

Applications are invited for admission to DBT-sponsored M. Sc. Teaching Programme in Computational Biology to be offered at Pondicherry University, Anna University and Madurai Kamaraj University under Network mode.

DBT/CSIR-NET/ICMR-qualified candidates are invited to apply for Ph.D. positions in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (PHB) or Bioinformatics (BIN) at Dr. Sujit Nair’s laboratory in the Amrita Centre for Nanosciences & Molecular Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Amrita University, Kochi, India.

The Fellowship Scheme for Women Scientists for societal programmes is initiative of the Department of Science & Technology. This scheme is addressed to women scientists and technologists who have “break in their careers” due to social responsibilities but have desire to return to mainstream science and work as bench-level scientists. Women scientists desiring to apply for this scheme are required to develop their own research project/ proposals demonstrating science and technological applications for societal benefits.

ICMR Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Scheme is being instituted to foster high quality research opportunities to promising fresh PhD holders in the cutting edge areas of basic science, communicable and non communicable diseases, reproductive health including nutrition at ICMR Institutes/Centres. Special focus will be on fundamental research in areas of science and other priority areas identified by ICMR from time to time. ICMR intends to offer fifty (50) such fellowships every year for working in ICMR Institutes/Centres with state-of-art R&D facilities. These fellowships will be allocated by Director General, ICMR, depending upon the needs of the Institute /Centre.

“CSIR-Nehru Science Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Scheme” has been instituted to foster high quality research opportunities to promising fresh PhD holders in the cutting edge areas of Basic Science, Engineering, Medical and Agriculture at CSIR laboratories. Special focus will be for fundamental research in the inter-phase areas of science and technology. CSIR intends to offer one hundred (100) such fellowships every year for working in CSIR laboratories with state of- art R&D facilities.
