PhD's can Apply for Marie Curie Research Fellowship
A vacancy exists for a Marie Curie Research Fellow to work on a theoretical study of bacterial chemotaxis. The project will involve an investigation of signalling network and single cell motion, as well as mathematical modelling of bacterial populations in various environmental conditions. The successful candidate will be expected to build up strong collaborations with experimental groups in the field.
Eligibility: PhD in theoretical biophysics or a related area, and must have experience of the application of physics to cell motility. Applicants must have excellent theoretical and numerical skills, a proven ability to work with experimentalists.
Scholarship: The salary will be according to the EC Marie Curie Fellowship scale for experienced researchers. Under EC rules for the scheme, applicants must have no more than five years of postgraduate research experience.
Duration: 2 years
