Early Career and Senior Fellowships Under Wellcome trust- DBT Alliance
Applications are now invited for the next rounds of two of the three fellowship schemes offered by the Wellcome Trust-DBT India Alliance to support biomedical research of the highest quality.
Early Career Fellowships support the most promising newly qualified postdoctoral researchers, to help them to make an early start in launching their independent research careers, working in the best laboratories in India.
Senior Fellowships support outstanding researchers, either medically qualified or science graduates, who wish to pursue an independent research career in an academic institution in India.
Candidates should have between five and ten years' research experience at a postdoctoral level, or clinical equivalent, and have a substantial record of publications in their research area.
Applicants from last year who were not invited to submit a full application are not restricted from reapplying this year, subject to their meeting the eligibility criteria.
Preliminary application forms for either scheme must be submitted by 14 September 2009.
