can anyone guide me in choosing the best book of molecular / Cell Biology for PhD entrance xams like NET ,DBT,etc....

 

also let me know the question bank available for these xams on any particular site

 

do we need to study frank h stephenson book as wilson and walker is advised for techniques

For appearing in exams for Phd, for Cell bio you can refer to Bruce albert and for mol bio you can refer to Lodish.
You can download various sample papers from the biotecnika download section.

IF u want to understand the

IF u want to understand the concepts better go for karp and when you understand the basics then only go for cooper. and lodish is better for molecular biology

moecular biology Voet and Weaver
biochemistry Lehninger Stryer
molecular cell biology   Lodish
plant physiology teizer and zigler
devolopmental biology Gilbert
other ecology physiology ncert books p d sharma
for techniques Gene and genome analysis by Richard lee or u can go for wilson and walker
dont go for bruce alberts its high and it is not suitable to study within three months
if u really hav time then go for bruce alberts

i personally fell for biochemistry...Leninger's Principles of biochemistry or Harper is good...they are very informative and easy to understand...

I would say first complete Biology by campbell text book, as it covers major syllabus then refer these text books as referance.
