We are located in a superbly equipped state-of-the-art institute, which provides an exciting research-environment and houses a range of core-facilities (e.g. bioimaging, mass spectrometry, microarray analysis, RNAi-screening). Work in the lab investigates the impact of the tumour environment on melanoma cell invasion and on the response of melanoma cells to targeted drug treatment. This particular project aims to identify regulators of drug resistance. The work includes an RNAi and drug screen, conventional protein-biochemical and cell-biological techniques (2D and 3D) and live imaging of melanoma cells in Danio rerio.
