I am from Bangalore done BE in Biotechnology, and currently working as IPR trainee under DST (Dept of Science and Technology) and TIFAC Delhi. I would like to know if there are any openings in IPR domain through Biotechnika.org. If not please post some job openings and conferences related to IPR domain. As IPR is one of the important aspect in Biotechnology field.

for ipr there is one option of Giving patent agent exam conducted by Govt of India twice a year and become registered patent agent and then join industry or research

plz tell me that can any biotech student without any IPR background (as we study IPR as only one syllabus topic ) can apply for TIFAC.
also wht sort of quest they ask in exams.....

TIFAC exam are conducted once in a year during the month of Jan or Feb.
Eligiblity: Btech, Msc, Phd, MBBS, Mpharma.......
So if u dont have prior IP knowledge thats all right u can apply as this is mainly for students of science background.
U have two rounds to clear the exam.
1. written exam (questions based on physics, chemistry, maths and biology)
2. Personal Interview.

This is molika here.As you mentioned you have joined in IPMD dept under CSIR.Can you please tell me mode of selection and is the vaccancy still open.& concerned contact person for future vaccancies.I have done my masters in biotech and PGD in IPR from MSU,baroda.I am really looking to get in to IPR field.

can u tel me what type of questions are asked in dis interview? wl it be ipr/personality/graduation subject related???

you can try in pharma companie, where they intake the IPR people for there IPR section for the pated work for there new drugs or for new instrument patet. companies life Biocon, Dolcera India pvt ltd,Avestha gengraine tech pvt ltd bangalore....ect many more companies have there own IPR section for the patenting work & they hire people with experience in IPR field, you can try in these companies.
Recently Avestha gengeraine has hired IPR consultants.. & there would be openings now also you can try. And if you arent finding these openings directly then you can take the help of some consultancies for the openings...
