Hi.....you are most

Hi.....you are most welcome... I too have a job and hence I also didn't get much time to prepare for the net, net june 2012 was my first attempt... I studied from my college notes and referred to some standard books but i don't have a proffessional guidance as in coaching so I can't tell you about pattern etc...But one thing i can tell you from my experience is that when you start your preparation for this exam always complete your mainstream subjects first, that is to say that if you have done your studies from life sciences you should complete subjects like physiology, dev bio, ecology and stuff first and then take up biotechnology subjects like mol bio, microbio, biochem etc. or if you belong to biotech then complete those subjects.... I'm saying this because it gives you sense of confidence and you are able to study with a calm mind throughout........Revision is important and you should solve last year papers as well to strengthen your understanding.....If you need any other information i would be happy to help anytime...All the best for your preparation.... :-)

hI saswata, you can attend

hI saswata,
you can attend the aimnet by paying amount equivalent to the bt points it costs...like if any aimnet requires 50 bt points then you will have to pay 50 rs to attend it..... as for how to pay the money, the method is quite simple. so, when you get the notification then you get the directions from biotecnika on how to pay the money...
But, a good thing for you is that biotecnika starts the aimnet series about 3 months before the net exam so i guess the next aimnet series would be started in mid august or afterwards, so there is sufficient time for you to gain as many points as you can....
the first aimnet is a full syllabus test i.e. all the units, but from the second aimnet onwards the test is going to unit based as the units are given in the syllabus...yes, biotecnika has introduced negative marking in the tests..

Thank you very much for your reply. Its really a great help for me. Can I please ask you more about the NET preparation. As I'm spending almost 12 h in lab, it is being a real headache for me to study at night. Anyway can you please suggest me how to prepare for the NET. I'll be just starting the preparation. So your suggestion can be a great help for me.
thanks again
