PhD candidates required for a DBT project at School of Life Sciences, JNU

Jawaharlal Nehru University, also known as JNU, is a public central university in New Delhi, India. In 2012, The National Assessment and Accreditation Council gave the university a grade of 3.9 out of 4, the highest grade awarded to any educational institution in the country.University is organised into ten schools, each of which has several centres, as well as four independent special centres. The objective of the founders was to make the university a premier institution of higher learning and to promote research and teaching leading to the increasing engagement of its students and teachers in higher level academic work and national and international policy making.

Applications are invited for the below-mentioned position in a DBT sponsored network project entitled "Functional genomics approaches in understanding the regulation of synthesis and accumulation of apocarotenoids in saffron crocus (Crocus sativus L.)". The duration of the project is for 3 (three) years. Initial appointment will be for one year, extendable by another successive year depending on the progress of the candidate.
