Applications from Indian nationals are invited for two temporary JRF positions funded by DBT, India in the School of Biological Sciences, NISER. All candidates should have valid CSIR-UGC NET/ GATE / any national level entrance examination qualification.

FELLOWSHIP: Rs 12,000/- + HRA (as per DBT norms)
AGE : 28 years as on 30-06-2012, age relaxation to entitled categories as per DBT rules.

For Project-I : (No.NISER/DBT/BL1008/12/2012) JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF): One Post Qualification : B. Tech/ BE/ MCA with interest in Biological Applications or M.Sc. in Computational biology/ Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biological Sciences with good programming skills with an aggregate of 60% marks (5% relaxable to SC/ST candidates).
Desirable : Candidate having prior experience in programming skills of IC, JAVA, PERL or MySQL shall be preferred.
Job profile : The candidate is expected to develop and maintain a network database.

For Project-II : (No.NISER/DBT/BL1103/13/2012) JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF): One Post
Qualification : M.Sc. with minimum aggregate 60% marks (5% relaxable to SC/ST candidates) in Life Sciences/ Biological Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Molecular biology.
Desirable : Candidate with relevant experience in biochemical and molecular biology techniques will be preferred.
