Walk in Interview for multiple positions in multiple projects at NDRI, Karnal

The walk-in-interview for the positions of Senior Research Fellows and Junior Research Fellows in various projects will be conducted at this Institute on the date/time and venue and other details shown against each position on contractual basis. The eligible candidates are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for Walk-in-Interview for the positions of Senior Research Fellows and Junior Research Fellows at NDRI, Karnal, as per schedule indicated against each.

Project 1 : NAIP Research Project “Development of Biosensors and micro-techniques for analysis of pesticide residues, aflatoxin, heavy metals and bacterial contamination in milk” under Dr. Naresh Kumar, Sr. Scientist & CCPI, DM Division, NDRI, Karnal.

Emoluments : Rs. 24000/- per month + HRA as applicable for Ph. D and Rs. 23000/- per month
+ HRA as applicable for Master Degree with 2 years experience
Duration : Upto June, 2012 
Essential Qualification : Ph.D or M.Sc Degree in the following subjects with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average in Dairy Microbiology/Food Microbiology/ Agricultural Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ General Microbiology/Life Sciences or allied disciples with two year research experience as evidenced from fellowship/associate ship/training ship/or published papers in standard journals.
Desirable : (i) Preference will be given to candidates have experience in the field of biosensor, analyzing milk & milk products and food samples for microbiological quality parameters preferably familiar with food analysis for drugs, aflatoxins and hygiene indicator organisms etc. (ii) Good knowledge of statistics/ software optimization, proficiency in computer application particularly in use of MS office.

Emoluments : Rs. 16000/- per month + HRA for 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 18000/- per month +
HRA for 3rd year
Duration : Upto June, 2012 
Essential Qualification : M.Sc Degree in Dairy Microbiology/food Microbiology/ Agricultural Microbiology/ Biochemistry/General Microbiology /life Sciences or allied disciples.
Desirable : (i) Working experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety aspect of Microbial & Non-microbial Contaminants in Dairy products. (ii) Knowledge about computer application in statistical analysis of research data and their interpretation.
