Applications are invited for the following purely temporary Research Positions at School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu, Jammu

1. Junior Research Fellow (one position) under a DBT, Ministry of Science & Technology, New Delhi sponsored research project.
Project Title : Creating a genomics platform for Apple research in India
Eligibility : M.Sc. Biotechnology with first division. NET (JRF/ LS) qualified candidates will be given preference
Desirable : Candidates who have suitable work/training experience in various techniques may
be preferred.
Age Limit : Candidate should not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview.

2. Senior Research Fellow (One position) under a CSIR, New Delhi sponsored research project
Project Title : Bioprospecting of fungi from unexplored ecological niches of J & K for antimicrobial and bioactive compounds
Eligibility : M.Sc. Biotechnology/ Biochemistry with first division and at least two years of post M. Sc. research experience in the relevant field is essential
Desirable : Candidates who have suitable work/training experience in various techniques may be preferred.
Age Limit : Candidate should not be more than 32 years of age on the date of interview.

The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to schedule castes/tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates. The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Emoluments are as per the norms of the funding agency.
