Postdoctoral position in molecular biology & Protein Biochemistry at Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces, Berlin

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the design, expression, purification and characterization of peptides and proteins in the department of Biomolecular Systems at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Berlin.

Project Description :  The successful candidate will work on the molecular biology (cloning, expression and purification) of proteins in bacterial and yeast expression systems. The expressed proteins will be used for the semi-synthesis of glycoproteins and GPI-anchored proteins by ligation with synthetic materials (Peptides, carbohydrates, glycolipids)

Qualification :
1.Candidates should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative and be able to work independently as well as in an interdisciplinary scientific environment.
2.Experience in protein Biochemistry and protein characterization methods (mass spectrometry, HPLC), chemical biology and other Biochemistry techniques will be positively evaluated.
3.Good English communications skills are necessary.
