NCCS Ph.D Entrance Examination-2012

GENERAL : NCCS, Pune, is conducting All India online entrance examination through MKCL at various centers in PUNE, for admissions to Ph.D. for the candidates who are bonafide Indian citizens and having consistently good academic record. Syllabus for the examination will be same as prescribed for M.Sc. (Biotech) course by DBT (Link). Candidates should have strong motivation to pursue research in modern biology leading to a Ph.D. degree . ELIGIBILITY : 
1. Should have M.Sc. degree in any branch of Science having at least 50/'0 or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA)
2. Holds a valid Junior Research Fellowship from CSIR/UGCIICMR/DBT IDSTINSPIRE and Fellowship should be valid as on the date of joining. (Candidates who have qualified only for Lectureship in CSIR-UGC (NET) 1 the "Project List of ICMR" need not apply).
3. Other terms and conditions of the fellowship will be as directed by the agency awarding the fellowship. The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/STIWomen/PH and 3 years in case of OBC candidates.
4. Reservation wiII be as per the Government of India guidelines.
