Faculty position in Life Science stream available at CSKHPKV, Palampur

Applications on plain paper are invited alongwith biodata for hiring the services of persons to fill urgent need of teaching in the disciplines of Physics, Mathematics, English, Microbiology , Zoology, Chemistry and Biochemistry on contact hour basis for 1'1 and 2nd semester of Academic Year 2012-13 or till regular arrangement is made by the University whichever is earlier. Applications complete in all respect should reach to the Dean, College of Basic Sciences, Palampur, Disn. Kangra -176062 (H.P.) latest by 21st July, 2012 upto 5.00 PM.

Educational Qualifications : Masters' Degree having qualified National Eligibility Test from UGC/CS1R, ICAR or similar test accredited by UGC/ State in the concerned discipline (The candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. degree or submitted their thesis upto 31-12-1993 and the candidates who have done M. Phil upto 31-12-1992 are exempted from the NET).

Note :
i) Contact hours : One contact hour means one hour of theory or two hours of practical upto 2 batches; practical for more than two batches means two contact hours. For example, contact hours for a course of 2+1 contact hours are to be calculated as under:
(a) For upto two practical batches :  Theory = 2 contact hours, Practical = I contact hour Total = 2+1 = 3 contact hours.
(b) For more than two practical batches: Theory = 2 contact hours, Practical = 2 contact hours Total = 2+2 = 4 contact hours.
ii) Remuneration :
a) M.Sc. degree holder @ Rs.500/- per contact hour subject to a maximum of Rs.25000/- per
month.
b) Ph. D. degree holder @ Rs.700/- per contact hour subject to a maximum of Rs.25000/- per month.

Terms & Conditions :
a.The services of persons to be hired for teaching on contact hour basis is a stop-gap arrangement and purely on temporary basis
b.The candidate must fulfill the prescribed qualifications on the last date of receipt of his/her application.
c.The College/University reserves the right to terminate the services at any time without assigning any reason.
d.Applications received after the last date shall not be considered.
e.The candidates to be hired for teaching will not have any right for regular appointment.
f.The candidate must be a citizen of India.
g.The College/University reserves the right not to hire any persons in the above disciplines.
h.No written/personal interview will be held. Only panel of three/four persons will be prepared/drawn for filling credit hours at any time during academic session or for the complete course or until the post is filled up on regular basis .
i.The incumbent will have to obey the Academic Regulations of this University.
j.The teacher engaged shall submit class-attendance at the end of each class to the HOD.
k.He/She shall be bound for conductance/invigilation for all the exams, setting up of the question papers, evaluation of answer sheets and submission of results etc. It will not be counted for payment.
l.The condition of NET can be relaxed in exceptional cases.
m.He/She will also counsel the students, whenever required.
