Walk In Interview for RA @ NICRA

NICRA is a network project of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) launched in February, 2011. The project aims to enhance resilience of Indian Agriculture to climate change and climate variability through strategic research and technology demonstration. The research on adaptation and mitigation covers crops, livestock, fisheries and natural resource management. The project consists of four components viz. Strategic Research, Technology Demonstration, Capacity Building and Sponsored/Competitive Grants
The project was formally launched by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Agriculture & Food Processing Industries Shri Sharad Pawarji on 2nd February 2011. Most of the activities across India were initiated in full measure during 2011-12. 

The following post is to be filled purely on temporary basis under CIBA component of "National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA)" project at this Institute.

Name of the Post : Research Associate — One Post

Date & Time of Interview : Wednesday, 8th August 2012 at 10.30 a.m.

Duration : 12th Plan (2012-2017) / co-terminus with the project 

Qualification : Ph.D. / M.F.Sc. / M.Sc. / M.Phil (Aquaculture/Marine Biology/Zoology/ Environmental Science) with 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with atleast two years of research experience in the relevant subject.

Emoluments :

• Rs.24,000/- p.m. + HRA g 30% for Ph.D. holders 
• Rs.23,000/- p.m. + HRA g 30% for Master Degree holders

Age Limit  : Maximum 40 years for men and 45 years for women as on date of interview. Age limits are relaxable for SC / ST / OBC candidates as per rules.

Eligible Candidates may appear for the Walk-in-interview with original Certificate of Ph.D. / Master's Degree, passport size photograph and bio-data enclosing attested copies of educational qualification & experience certificates.

TA / DA will not be paid for attending the interview.
