SRF position available under ICMR funded project at KIIT, Bhubaneshwar
The School of Biotechnology invites applications for a Senior Research Fellow (SRI) position in the group of Dr. Avinash Sonawane at KIIT University. Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Project title : "Identification and elucidation of role of glycoproteins in the pathogenesis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis: a study on the implications of mycobacteria glycoproteins in the modulation of host immune responses and as drug targets"
Funded by : ICMR
Project description : The project involves glycomic analysis of M. tuberculosis genome, identification of glycoproteins, and to elucidate their role in virulence, modulation of macrophages and T-cell activation.
Essential Qualification : Master degree in Life Science /Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry with good academic record, with research experience in the relevant area are highly encouraged to apply for this position.
Desirable : Strong backgound in molecular biology, animal cell culture: immunofluorescence techniques and immunology. Practical experience with mycobacteria will be of advantage.
