Yes the day arrived i was going to write one of the most sought after exam to enter in the world of research in India date was 17 th of June 2012.
I feel relaxed after giving the examination, but couldn't tell how it was because we were not allowed to take the paper with us.
feeling of anxiety prevailed for a few days and CSIR then released the paper scanned copy.
yep the paper was easy asis usually but if you focus on the options provided, you find why cut off is always below 50%.
Sufficient research has been done in designing the option hence making the paper standard higher, the major reasion is to stablize cut off and to avoid the entry of blind muggers in research.
a brief review of each section :

SECTION A..... Not so tough as you all says average grasp of maths and commonsense is recquired to solve this.but student of life sciences will find it tough as they are usually away from quantitative aspects. average score in this section for life sciences may hover from 7 to 10.

SECTION B.....was gud not tough not easy alsobut had questions from all the 13 units. so tough for those who concentrated on few units. average score 25 to 35.

SECTION C..... Was easier but option were deadly close. Do not get overconfident by looking at the answer concentrate on options.average score 45 to 55

HENCE we can expect a cut off 90 marks for JRF and 80 for LS.
wish you all
