Microarray technology is an indispensable tool for rapid gene expression analysis in the Genome sequence era.
The increasing numbers of whole genome sequences being unravelled, opens the possibility of functional analysis of genes from bacteria to mammals using DNA microarray.
The aim of this course is to give the participants a practical introduction into the analysis of gene expression using microarrays. The course takes the participants through the complete process of a microarray analysis, from RNA isolation through to data analysis. The practical programme of laboratory and blackboard sessions is supported by a series of lectures by visiting scientists presenting their current research in this area.
