The Bioinformatics Centre (Distributed Information Sub Centre, Biotechnology Information System)at IIT Delhi was established in 1989 (equipped in 1991) by the support of the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, New Delhi, as a part of the nation wide networking of Biotechnology Institutions of National importance.

Course Includes :-
Introduction to Bioinformatics and its applications, Biological databases and their annotations

  •     Biology for bioinformatics,
  •     central dogma in molecular biology
  •     Molecular Sequence Analysis
  •     Genomics & Proteomics
  •     Phylogenetic Analysis
  •     Molecular Modelling and Drug Design

On March 12 &13 2009
Target audience : Minimum M.Sc or equivalent qualification
A Student who is doing M.Sc/Ph. D. in Life Science or any other relevant field.

Course Fee & Registration
1. Participants from industry - Rs. 3500/-

2. Participants from academia-Rs 2000/-
