IIT Delhi invites applications from exceptionally bright and motivated persons, who have an established record, of independent, high quality research, and who are committed to teaching and research, for regular positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the areas of
* Molecular level Engineering of Biomaterials,
* Infectious diseases and Non-communicable disorders and
* Cognitive and Computational Neurosciences in the School of Biological Sciences of this Institute
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in an appropriate branch / discipline with a very good academic record throughout An outstanding Engineer / Technologist working in industry with established reputation and one who has made significant contribution to knowledge, but one
who does not have a Ph.D. degree, may also be considered in truly exceptional cases in certain areas.
PROFESSOR: Minimum 10 years Teaching / Research / industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assoc. Professor/Asstt. Professor or equivalent.
ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR : Minimum 8 years
Teaching / Research / Industrial experience of which at least 3 years, should be at the level of Asstt. Professor or equivalent.
ASSISTANT PROFESSOR : At least three years TeachlngfiResearch/ Industrial experience.

This Includes:
1. Initial grant to fund upto Rs. 6.00 lakhs for research.
2. Full funding for attending one National Conference per year either for presenting a paper or chairing a session.
3. Financial assistance up to Rs. 1.50 lakhs spread over three years for attending International Conference for presenting a paper or chairing a session.
4. Reimbursementof75%ofmembershlpfeeofone International professional society.
5. Rs. 10,000/- per year as contingency grant for books, stationery, local travel, etc.
6. Reimbursement of telephone bills up to a celling of Rs.750/-per month.
7. There is provision for payment of traveling / moving allowance to faculty Joining the Institute from abroad or from elsewhere In India as per Institute rules, details of which are available on the Institute website.
