 1.  Project Assistant Level-III (04 Positions) – 02 Positions for DBT sponsored project and 02 Positions for CSIR Networked Project entitled “Exploitation of India

’s Rich Microbial Technology”

 Essential Qualification: M.Sc in any area of Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Biophysics/Molecular Biology, with at least 2 years experience  in Molecular  Biology  techniques. 

Desirable: Experience of Molecular Biology or Protein purification using modern techniques and Protein Chemistry with proven record. A sound knowledge of biochemistry is essential. 

2.  Project Assistant Level-II (09 positions)

Essential Qualification: 1^st Class M.Sc in any area of Modern Biology/Life Sciences/Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Biophysics/Microbiology/Molecular Biology

 Desirable: Practical research experience in the areas mentioned above.

 3.   Project Assistant

Level-II (1 position) for CSIR’s NMITLI Project on Biotechnology  of

Leather towards cleaner Processing “under the New Millennium Indian Technology Leadership

Essential Qualification: Ist Class B.E/B.Tech/M. Tech in Biochemical Engineering or Biotechnology.

Desirable: Practical research experience in the areas mentioned above.

Stipend:  For Level – II                                 -   Rs. 10,000/- (fixed) per month

                 For Level –III & NMITLI Project -   Rs. 12,000/- (fixed) per month

Age limit :  For Level – II   -   28 years as on 17.07.2009

 (Relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped will be as per GOI Rules).

For Level – III          -   30 years as on 17.07.2009

(Relaxation in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped will be as per GOI Rules).

The engagement as a Project Assistant in the projects is purely on temporary basis maximum for the period of duration of the project.  However, appointment will initially be offered for a period of one year and will be extended yearly basis till the duration of the project depending on the satisfactory performance of the incumbent.  The appointment can be terminated by either side with one month’s notice.  Total duration of project assistantship in CSIR Laboratories is maximum of 5 years.  Therefore, if an incumbent switches between the projects, the appointment will terminate on the day he/she completes 05 years as a Project Assistant.  Please note that it is not an IMTECH/CSIR appointment and will not confer any right of the incumbent to any claim implicit or explicit or any position. Number of positions may vary.

Such of the candidates who fulfils the eligibility conditions may please Walk-in-interview on 17.07.2009 (Friday) at 09.30 A.M.  (Sharp) in the Seminar Hall of this Institute along with complete bio-data and Original certificates together with latest passport size photograph and also enclosing photocopies of certificates/testimonials in support of date of birth, qualification etc.  No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
