SRF vacancy at TERI in Marine Bioremediation
Applications are invited for the position of one or two Senior Research Fellow(s) to work in a DBT Government of India, sponsored project bilateral project in marine bioremediation
Qualifications
First class M.Sc in Microbiology/Biotechnology and related subject.
Additional Qualifications Relevant experience in marine remediation, molecular biology techniques of DGGE and sequencing is desirable.
Experience
1-2 years of research experience preferably in microbial bioremediation studies and studies related to microbial diversity. Hands on experience in handling ABI 310 sequencer and/or DGGE apparatus is essential. Experience on qPCR techniques would be an advantage

Nature of job
Development of microbial consortia for remediation of petroleum hydrocarbons in marine environment. Molecular analysis of the samples along with work on development of molecular tools for detection of microbes in the environment
