Eligible and interested candidates may attend a 'Walk-in-Interview' for the temporary position of one Junior Research Fellow under a Sponsored Research Project tenable at the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, Lucknow:-
Project : "Survey, Mapping Documentation of Floristic Diversity and Antiquity of Vegetation in Lucknow and Adjoining Areas"
Qualification : M Sc in Botany/Plant Sciences/Environmental Sciences or equivalent qualification with high academic attainments both in graduate and post-graduate levels. NET qualified candidates will be preferred.
Upper Age Limit : 30 years as on 01.04.2009. In the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes, Women, Physically Handicapped and OBC applicants, age relaxation upto 5 years is allowed.
Fellowship : Rs. 12,000/- p.m. 20% H.R.A.
Duration : The above position is temporary and co-terminus with the sponsored project. Presently the above project is upto Feb. 2010
Interested candidates may appear before the Selection Committee on 06th July, 2009 at 11.00 hours in the Committee room of the Institute for Interview along with applications/bio-data on plain paper with original and attested copies of mark sheets/certificates. The incumbent shall have no implicit or explicit claim of regular absorption in any post in the BSIP or the UP State Bio-Diversity Board. No TA will be admissible.
