JRF vacancy at TERI On Metagenomics in Microbial Biotechnology

Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for the position of one Junior Research Fellow (s) to work in DBT sponsored project on metagenomics in the Microbial Biotechnology Area at TERI.

Qualifications

First class M Sc in Microbiology/Biotechnology or related subject areas.

Additional Qualifications/ Experience in molecular biology tools of cloning and handling & maintenance of pure microbial cultures is essential. Experience on preparation of metagenomic clone libraries and screening of metagenomic clones will be an advantage.

Nature of job
DNA isolation from soil, Preparation of metagenomic library and screening of the library.
Rs 12,000/- pm for 1st 2 years Rs 14,000/- pm for 3rd year + HRA as per existing DBT rules.
