A MoES funded multi-institutional project “Screening of anti-cancer drugs from the ocean” under the National Programme on “Development of potential drugs from the ocean” at ACTREC requires
Position: Senior Research Fellow
Qualification: M. Sc. Degree (by papers/ research) with higher second class in Biochemistry/ Life Sciences / Applied biology / Microbiology / Zoology / any other Biological sciences with experience in tissue culture work.
Desirable: Candidate familiar with standard quality control procedures in tissue culture work will be preferred.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 18,200/-p.m.
Project period : Upto March 2012

Walk In Interview For the Post Of SRF
Candidates are invited to Walk In Interview for the post of Senior Research Fellow in the project titled “Synthesis and anti-HIV activity of aminoglycoside antibiotics-peptide conjugates designed to inhibit Rev-RRE and Tat-TAR interaction.”
Position: Senior Research Fellow
Qualification: M.Sc. in biological scienceswith minimum 55% marks; must have at least two years of post-M.Sc. research experience in a reputed institute/University laboratory with proven expertise in molecular biology (including gene cloning, sequencing), recombinant protein expression and characterization including familiarity with protein expression in yeast.
Desirable: Publication in a peer-reviewed journal will be considered
an added qualification.
Salary: Rs. 18,200 p.m
