Doctorates in Biochem can become Research Associate at IIT Madras
Applications are invited for one temporary post of RESEARCH ASSOCIATE for the CSIR project on “ATP-substrate transition state analogs: A rational approach to target insulin like growth factor receptor-1 Kinase” in the Department of Chemistry.
DURATION: 24.05.2010 (Initially for Ten months).
QUALIFICATION: Ph.D in Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry/Medical Bio Chemistry. Candidates with experience in tissue culture and cell-based assays will be preferred.
Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D thesis may also apply. They will be considered for the post of Provisional Research Associate (SRF – Extended) with fellowship of Rs.10,000/-p.m.
FELLOWSHIP: Rs.16,000/-p.m.
NOTE: Candidates will be eligible for House Rent Allowance as per Institute norms, subject to eligibility.
UPPER AGE LIMIT: 35 Yrs. as on the day on which the application is made. Relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST, Women and Physically challenged candidates.Other things being equal, preference will be given to SC/ST candidates.
The Co-ordinator has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the announcement.
