Advertisement for the posts of Research associate/Teaching associate in the Bioinformatics Centre, University of Pune
Applications are invited on plain paper for the following positions to be filled up in the Bioinformatics centre, University of Pune under following grants:

The following posts are temporary and the appointments are valid for period of five years.
Total positions: 5

1. Position: RA-M1
Essential qualifications: M.Sc. Bioinformatics or Post-graduate Advanced diploma in Bioinformatics (ADB) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. Good academic record with at least 55% of marks (50% for candidates in reserved category) or an equivalent grade
Desirable qualifications: Candidates having 3-4 years of research experience in the area of Bioinformatics with a proven record of publications, BINC/DBT-JRF/NET/SET certification and commitment to research/teaching will be given preference.
Areas of specialization: Bioinformatics/molecular modeling & simulations/ comparative genomics/ Immunoinformatics

3. Position: TA-M3
Essential qualifications: M.Sc. Bioinformatics or Post-graduate Advanced diploma in Bioinformatics (ADB) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. Good academic record with at least 55% of marks (50% for candidates in reserved category) or an equivalent grade.
Desirable qualifications: Candidates having 1-2 years of teaching/research experience in the area of Bioinformatics and BINC/ DBT-JRF/NET/SET certification would be preferred.
Area of specialization: Bioinformatics/Chemoinformatics/Computational biology

4. Positions: RA-D1 & RA-D2
Essential qualifications: M.Sc. Bioinformatics or ADB Bioinformatics from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. Good academic record with at least 55% of marks (50% for candidates in reserved category) or an equivalent grade.
Desirable qualifications: Candidates having 2-3 years teaching/research experience in the area of Bioinformatics and BINC/DBT-JRF/ NET /SET certification would be preferred.
Area of specialization: Bioinformatics/ molecular modeling/ comparative genomics/ Immunoinformatics/ Metabolic Pathways/Systems biology/computational biology
Freshers with BINC/DBT-JRF/NET/SET certification and commitment to research/teaching may also apply.
