Walkin Interview at IGIB for Temporary Research Project (2)

Temporary Research Project Post Advt. No. : PR/146/2008

IGIB, Delhi, desires to engage qualified incumbent(s) for purely temporary position of Project Assistants (Level II/III/IV) under the project NWP0032 entitled "Diabetes mellitus- New drug discovery R & D, molecular mechanisms and genetic & epidemiological factors"

Essential qualification:

For MBBS : M.B.B.S. degree. Inclination to pursue translational research is desirable. Previous research experience is not necessary. Opportunities for mentored research and enrollment in a PhD program are possible for suitable candidates.

Age Limit:

The Age limit is 35 years (age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC & women candidates as per Govt. of India instructions)

Stipend: Rs. 15,000 - 18,000 pm (consolidated) depending upon the relevant experience.

For Level IV:

Fresh Ph.D. degree or M.Tech/M.E./MCA with two years of relevant experience. Ph.D. work must be in the area of molecular biology/human genetics/biochemistry/bioinformatics (Must reflect from already published research article(s) in Indexed journals.

For Level II/III:

M.Sc. in any branch of Life sciences/Medical Sciences/Chemical Sciences/Physical Sciences/Bioinformatics or MA in Social Sciences or Sociology/Bachelor degree with post graduate diploma in Sociology or Social Sciences

For Level II:

M.Sc. in any branch of Life sciences/Medical Sciences/Chemical Sciences/Physical Sciences/Bioinformatics with documented at least two (2) years experience or MA in Social Sciences or Sociology/Bachelor degree with post graduate diploma in Sociology or Social Sciences with documented at least two (2) years experiences or fresh M.Tech/M.E./MCA for Level III.

Age Limit:
The Age limit is 35 years (age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC & women candidates as per Govt. of India instructions) for level IV and 30 years for Level III. The Age limit is 28 years for Level II. (age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC & women candidates as per Govt. of India instructions)
Stipend:

Rs. 15,000 pm (consolidated) for Level IV

Rs. 12,000 pm (consolidated) for Level III.

Rs. 10,000 pm (consolidated) for Level II

The duration of the post is initially one year, which may be extendable up to project duration.
Engagement is for the project and on behalf of the funding agency and the tenure shall be co-terminus with the duration of the project. Contract may be terminated any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any CSIR/IGIB post.

No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates to attend the interview. Engagement of project assistant shall be as per CSIR guidelines.
