Openings for Scientist "c" at ICMR

Applications are invited upto 15.8.2008 for one post of Scientist C in the scale of pay of Rs. 10000-325-15200 under ICMR Research Cadre and it carries All India transfer liability

Essential Qualification (i)                  MBBS Degree in the required discipline and recognized by MCI or First Class Master s Degree in Life/Biological Sciences or relevant biological subjects  from a recognized university or equivalent. OR Second class Master s Degree in Life/Biological Sciences or relevant biological discipline subjects with Ph.D degree from a recognized university or equivalent.  (ii)  Four years research experience in the relevant  areas

Desirable:
(i) Doctorate Degree in Life Sciences with Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Cell Biology/ Biotechnology or MD in the areas of Non-communicable diseases i.e. Cancer, CVD, Public health etc. for candidates with first class relevant degree.
(ii) Additional post doctoral research/teaching experience in chronic
diseases.
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications
Note: Ph.D or MD degree in subjects relevant to ICMR shall be treated equivalent to three years experience.

Age limit
Not exceeding 40 years as on 15.8.2008 .

Forms duly completed together with application fee of Rs.100/- by crossed IPO drawn in favour of D.G., ICMR New Delhi should be sent to Admn. Officer (Admn.I), Indian Council of Medical Research, V. Ramalingaswami Bhawan, Ansari Nagar, Post Box No.4911, New Delhi-110029, so as to reach on or before   15.8.208 .   SC/ST/PH candidates  are exempted from this payment of application fee. Applications received late/incomplete and or without fee will not be entertained.

 

Note:- Since it is not possible for call all the eligible candidates for the interview the applicants will be short-listed for this purpose and the decision of the Director General, ICMR will be final in this regard.  Out station candidates called for interview for the above post will be paid  2nd class to and fro rail fair  by shortest route on production of documents.  Any canvassing by or on behalf of candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection/ recruitment shall be considered as disqualification.
