Institute of Genomics & Integrative Biology (IGIB), desires to engage qualified incumbents on purely temporary basis as detailed below

Project Codes:

Position: Project Assistant level II (1)
Qualification: First class M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Genetics
Stipend: Rs. 10,000/- per month consolidated
Duration: 1 year

Position: Project Assistant (Level - II)
Qualification:First class M.Sc or B.E in Biotechnology or Equivalent
Salary: Rs. 10,000/- per month consolidated

Position: Project Assistant (Level - III)
Qualification: First class M.Sc in Biochemistry, Genetics Zoology with Two years of relevant experience
Salary: Rs. 12,000/- per month consolidated

Position: Project Associate (Level I)
Qualification: Fresh Ph.D in any branch of Life Sciences with experience molecular biology/ Epigenetic studies (methylation)/Genetics. Experience in chromatin immunoprecipitation assays/nucleosome positioning assays is highly desirable.
Salary: Rs. 15,000/- per month consolidated

Position: Project Assistant (Level - II)
Qualification: M.Sc Bioinformatics
Salary: Rs. 10,000/- per month consolidated
Duration: 1 year

Position: Project Assistant (Level - II)
Qualification: First class M.Sc./B.Tech. in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology
Desirable: Students should have good programming skills in Perl/PHP/C++ and exposure to Open Source Software.
Salary: Rs. 10,000/- per month consolidated

Position: Project Assistant (Level - III)
Qualification: First class M.Sc/ B.Tech. in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology with Two years of relevant experience. Or M.Tech in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology
Desirable: Students should have good programming skills in Perl/PHP/C++ and exposure to Open Source Software.
Salary: Rs. 12,000/- per month consolidated

Position: Project Assistant (level – III)
Qualification:First class M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ molecular biology/Biochemistry with Two years of relevant experience
Salary: Rs. 12,000/- per month consolidated

Position: Project Assistant (level – II)
Qualification: First class M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Neuroscience or B. Pharm.
Desirable: Hands-on experience in behavioral analysis or drug testing or protein analysis
Salary: Rs. 10,000/- per month consolidated

Age relaxation for SC/ST/ OBC candidate as per Govt. of India instruction.

Engagement is for the project and on behalf of the funding agency and the tenure shall be initially for one year. The duration of the post may be extendable up to project duration. Contract may be terminated any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any CSIR/IGIB post.

Eligible applicants are invited for a walk-in-interview on 20-04-10 at 10:00 AM along with their CV, Recent passport size photograph & other relevant details along with testimonials in original. No candidate would be allowed in the interview with "result awaited” status.

No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates to attend the interview. Engagement of project assistant shall be as per CSIR guidelines.

Candidates will have option to give reply in Hindi.

Note: The candidates need to report at 9:30 AM for interview along with any Photo ID card for entry purpose. Entry will be close by 10:30 AM.
