 All-India entrance test at centres in Pune (notification on http://www.unipune.ernet.in/ibb/ibb-ee-info-08.pdf) For admission to: Five-year integrated MSc/ six-year integrated MTech in biotechnology at Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, University of Pune Eligibility: Candidates appearing/ passed 10+2 level science exam of any recognised board with at least 60 per cent marks (55 per cent marks for reserved category).The entrance test would consist of multiplechoice questions; all questions would be compulsory.There would be two question papers. Paper I (one hour) has 50 questions on general knowledge, quantitative aptitude and intelligence. Paper II (two hours) comprises 100 questions on the syllabus of 10+2 course of Maharashtra State Board (HSC) in physics, chemistry, math and biology. Weightage of marks in Paper II is biology (40 per cent), physics (25 per cent), chemistry (25 per cent), math (10 per cent).Two marks per question. Passing criteria is 45 per cent (open category candidates), 30 per cent (reserved category candidates from Maharashtra). Negative marking with 0.5 marks deducted for every wrong answer.
