National Dairy Research Institute is a leader in Research & Education in the field of Dairy Science. It offers B. Tech (DT), Master and Ph.D. Programme in Dairying. Admissions to B.Tech (DT) and Master’s degree programmes are solely made through All India Entrance Examination conducted by the Education Division, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. An All India Competitive Entrance Examination will be conducted for admission to Ph.D. programme in different disciplines as per details given below.
Date of Entrance Test : 19.06.2009 (Friday)
Examination Centres : NDRI, Karnal (Haryana)
SRS of NDRI, Adugodi, Bangalore (Karnataka)
ERS of NDRI, Kalyani (West Bengal)
Disciplines: Dairy Microbiology, Dairy Chemistry, Dairy Technology, Dairy Engineering, Animal Biochemistry, Animal Biotechnology, Animal Genetics & Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Animal Physiology, Livestock Production & Management,
Dairy Economics, and Dairy Extension Education.
Eligibility: Master’s degree in relevant area with 60 percent marks (55 per cent marks for SC/ST) or equivalent OGPA
Scheme of Examination: There will be only one question paper consisting of objective type questions and short answers related to each subject. Admission will be made on merit basis. A candidate can choose only one discipline according to eligibility and choice of the campus
The Information Bulletin and Application forms may be obtained from the office of the Registrar, National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal-132 001 (Haryana) by submitting a bank draft of Rs. 1200/- drawn in favour of “ICAR UNIT, NDRI, KARNAL” payable at Karnal.
