VIT University invites attendees/presenters for an International Conference(ICon-BSES)

Environmental Biotechnology has been emerging as a potential branch of science that tries to equilibrate between people and the environment. Of late, integration of the research skills of scientists, engineers and technologists has heralded a new era of biotechnological solutions for making the environment cleaner, safer and hence, more sustainable.

Apart from the use of biosensors, bioprocessing and bioremediation methods in monitoring and cleansing the environment, there are emerging ‘green’ technologies that could ensure nature conservation as well; recent attempts to bioengineer and ‘domesticate’ the forest trees raise new hopes for forest protection. Further, the databases prepared through genome projects could help us understand the risks of those human subpopulation who are susceptible to exposure to environmental pollutants.

The rapid strides made by the researchers on a wide array of topics of interest in the field warrant for concerted attempts to discuss the subject on a common platform. It is our pleasure and honour to provide such a platform as an International Conference during 21-23 October 2009.

Abstracts
Researchers, interested in presenting their papers are invited to submit an abstract on any of the topics mentioned (in the 'thrust areas' section) in MS Word (Times New Roman, Font 12, 1.5 spacing and a word limit of 400) for review. The decision on acceptance will be made available to the authors on or before October 05, 2009. Authors of the accepted papers will be notified to submit full length paper which would be reviewed for presentation and publication in conference proceedings. Kindly submit your abstract(s) to the organizing secretary by E-mail. For publication of the abstracts in the conference proceedings, one of the authors should compulsorily register for the conference by paying the requisite registration fee.
