Central Institute Of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants invites abstracts for a 1 day Symposium

As a part of golden jubilee celebrations of the institute, CIMAP is organizing a one day Symposium on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants at CIMAP – Resource Centre, Hyderabad on NOVEMBER 17, 2009. The symposium aims at deliberating on future trends in MAP technologies and strategies to promote conservation, cultivation, value addition, trade, exports, etc.

The programme includes invited lectures and contributory posters on the following themes:

• Genetic resources and conservation
• Plant genomics and biotechnological applications
  
• Production and processing technologies
  
• Value addition and herbal drug technology
  
• Technology dissemination
  
• Medicinal plants in traditional systems of medicine
  
• Trade and exports
  
• Policy guidelines

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Abstracts reflecting the themes of the symposium are invited for presentation in the form of posters. Abstracts should not be more than300 words. A Soft Copy (CD only) should be sent along with One Hard Copy to The Secretary by 31st October 2009 and an advance copy by e-mail to cimaphyd@rediffmail.com.

REGISTRATION
The registration fee is Rs. 500/-. Participants are invited from Institutes/ Universities/ Colleges/ Farming Community/ Industry, etc. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements for stay and transport. However, accommodation to a limited number of participants could be made on advance request, depending on availability.
