This seminar is Organized by the Department of Environmental Science, Tezpur University (Estb 1994) with the following topics to be the key focus areas:
- GHG Emission – Anthropogenic sources
- Environmental pollution and sustainability
- Emission reduction
- Energy: Efficiency, conservation and promotion ( of clean and renewable)
- Green technology/ Air pollution abatement
- Land use change
- Problem of adaptation in developing nations
- Perception and policy, India’s concern
- Agricultural/food production
- Socio political and economic issues
- Hydrological regime/ River regime
- Biodiversity & relevant issues
Faculty members, researchers, students of Universities and various research organizations are invited to submit extended abstract through email as MSWORDS (version lower than 2007) file.

Last date of submission for extended abstract: October 15 ,2009
Date for notification of acceptance: October 30, 2009
Last date of Submission of full paper: November 15, 2009

Mode of payment :
Payments can be made throught DD in favour of “The Treasurer, National Seminar on Climate Change and Sustainable Development”, Dept. of Environmental Science, Tezpur University, payable at SBI Tezpur, Assam.
Accomodation/Financial AssistanceLimited number of accommodation at the University guest house (double bed) and hostels may be provided on the first come first basis at nominal charges. Hotel accommodation out side the campus (Tezpur proper) will be arranged on request. Based on funding, limited financial assistance for traveling to young researcher will be given.
