The Centre for Advanced Study in Botany, Banras Hindu University is going to organize an International symposium on Phycological Research during Feb 25-27, 2010. Leading scientists from all over the world will be participating in the event to held within the premises of Swatantra Bhavan, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
The symposium includes the following themes:

- Symbiosis
- Algae under stress
- Algal molecular biotechnology, genomics, proteomics and metabolomics
- Algal biotechnology: biomass production, photobioreactor, biofertilizers,biofuels
