BioZeal 2009: Attend the National Biotechnology Fest at Thadomal Sahani Engineering College, Mumbai
In India most students face a disadvantage of not knowing the wondrous strength of biotechnology. BIOZEAL is just a small step in trying to make the broader community more technically aware. With this in mind TSEC invites the boosters of biotechnology to guide us in the right direction. By assimilating the ideas, perspectives and expertise of budding engineers and biotechnologists we aim at establishing a relationship with corporate collaborators. BIOZEAL gives these talents new ground for researching breakthroughs in the field of Biotechnology and giving them an opportunity to upgrade and showcase their skills.
In this way BIOZEAL constantly works to break the barriers between technology and biology by exploiting the potentials of experts in the field. BIOZEAL aims at Building Insights and Breaking Boundaries. We find ourselves at the middle of the spectrum with academia being at one end and the industry at the other. We, at BIOZEAL believe this to be to our advantage as we can thus utilize our potential to the maximum and help bridge the gap between the two.
The agenda of BIOZEAL ’09 spans a whole range of contests and events aimed to test the technical prowess of participants and to make them extrapolate textbook know-how to real-life situations in a creative way. BIOZEAL ’09 encompasses events ranging from the traditional paper presentation and poster contests to workshops and interactive conferences.
BIOZEAL attracts a huge crowd of students, mostly pursuing their 2nd or 3rd year in various degrees in Biotechnology or allied fields. These students aren’t very aware of what options are available to them in terms of education after graduation. They are an ideal audience to be enlightened about various course details and thus tap their potential.
