About "EMERGING TRENDS IN CELL AND NANO BIOTECHNOLOGY"
Biotechnology, the converging discipline of all sciences is growing each day by becoming more and more reliable in exploring strategies (or betterment of human life and conserving nature for future generations. The developments in biotechnology are gaining importance in many spheres of present day applications. Nanobiolechnology is the latest advancement in biotechnology that is leading to a new class of multifunctional nano devices and systems with tailored features and properties that play an important role in diagnostics, better drug - delivery, cancer therapy and tissue engineering
Cell is the basic unit of life and studying the behaviour of cells helps in understanding the functional organization of life. The intricacies of fife are unraveled by the studies of different cellular systems at nano scale for better sensitivity, specificity and a higher rate of recognition. Hence, the Department of Biotechnology, GIS, GITAM University is organizing a national seminar for getting an insight into the new developments and exchange relevant and valuable information in the areas of Cell and Nano biotechnology. The seminar will pave the way to project the current and future challenges in this area.

POSTER SESSION
A poster session will be arranged for young.enthusiastic and talented students and scholars who submit abstracts on innovative topics within the theme of the seminar. The abstract should not exceed a maximum of 500 words and the poster should not exceed 3'x 3' size. Abstract can be sent to our e-mail address on or before 25th Nov.2009.
