Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, is organizing a workshop “Statistics in Genomics” during January 12th to 15th 2010, in conjunction with an International Conference “ADVANCES IN STATISTICAL SCIENCES”, that will be held during Jan 10th-11th, 2010 in celebration of 90th birth anniversary of Prof. C.R. RAO.

The main objective of the workshop is to familiarize and impart knowledge about the recent developments in statistical tools to some of the issues concerning to genomics or molecular genetics. The workshop is planned to have plenary lectures covering both theoretical and empirical aspects in some chosen areas of genetics or molecular genetics, which are closely related to research interests of Prof. C.R. Rao.

It will be conducted by leading professionals, some of whom are also attending the international conference.

Selected candidates will be reimbursed to and fro AC three tier railway fare by the shortest route. Preference will be given to candidates who will attend both the events: conference and workshop.Please submit your bio-data, especially mentioning the areas of the current
