About University
Sri Krishnadevaraya University had its beginning as the Post Graduate centre of Sri Venkateswara University in the year 1968. It has gained autonomy in the year 1976. Fulfilling the desires of the people of the region, the Autonomous Post Graduate centre was given the status of the University in the Year 1981. Initially, Sri Krishndevaraya University functioned as a unitary residential University. It was conferred the status of an affiliating University in the year 1987. Presently, it is catering to the higher educational needs of the revenue districts of Anantapur and Kurnool.
About the Department
Biotechnology department at College of Engineering & Technology, Sri Krishnadevaraya University was established in 2006 to cater the needs of students coming from the highly draught prone area of Andhra Pradesh such as Anantapur, Kurnool etc.,. It has grown to occupy a unique place among University College of engineering of its kind in the southern part of the country, given its active involvement in training the students in the fields of ECE, CSE and Biotechnology.
About Biozyme-2k9
The symposium is the first of its kind event ever organized by the Department of Biotechnology,Sri Krishnadevaraya University college of engineering & Technology, Anantapur.
The Symposium's objective is to showcase research and development ideas of students in different areas of life sciences. The Symposium brings together students in multiple disciplines: biotechnology, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering and pharmacy.
