Attend National Seminar on Fungal Diversity at Goa University
We have great pleasure to invite teachers, students and scientists working on fungi to take part in the National Seminar on “Fungal Biodiversity and Bioprospecting in the Age of Global Warming” and 36th Annual Meeting of Mycological Society of India, to be held in Goa University, on 29-30 October 2009.
The programme includes invited lectures, oral presentations and poster sessions on the theme of the seminar. As part of the Annual Meeting of the MSI, in addition to the Presidential Address, Late Shome Memorial and Late Agnihotrudu Memorial Lectures will be delivered. As an encouragement to young mycologists, Late MJ Thirumalachar Memorial best Oral Lecture and Poster Awards will be given during the Seminar. Besides, field trips to places of mycological interest in Goa are being planned.

We invite you to send (i) soft-copy of the abstract (about 250 words) in MS word of your paper with complete address and (ii) duly filled-in registration form along with the fee on or before 30 Aug. 2009, to the following address: Prof. B.F. Registration fee
Scientists/Faculty (MSI members): Rs. 1000/-Research Fellows and Students : Rs. 600/-Nonmembers & accompanying persons: Rs. 1500/-
The fee will cover registration, conference lunches (29-30 October), Tea breaks and abstract of papers. Limited paid accommodation is available in the University guesthouse, for the duration of the seminar, on advance payment of an additional Rs. 500/-. Kindly draw your DD in favour of ‘The Registrar, Goa University’, payable at Panaji, and send to the Organizing Secretary. The participants are encouraged to seek funding from their own institution and other organizations.
